A COMMUNITY OF CREATIVITY

Arts & Culture

Through engaging cultural activities and artistic expression, Lakeview Village will bring life to the waterfront. This is a community framed by creative discovery, with many different points of view. With bustling studios and outdoor exhibits that challenge our perceptions of the world and those around us, this is a place where artists live and work. Visit an artwalk, take in a performance by the water, or visit a literature festival to learn about the greatest thinkers of the modern age. The rhythm of Lakeview Village honors the spirit of dance and the enchantment of theater.

BUILDING FOR OUR FUTURE

Smart & Sustainable

Cleaner air, walkable amenities, renewable energy, innovative waste collection, and water conservation: these are just some of the pillars for advancing sustainability and resilience at Lakeview Village. Green roofs reduce demand for air conditioning, while rain gardens and stormwater systems optimize water reuse. Transit and autonomous shuttles enable car-free mobility and aging in place. All of this is anchored by the Centre for Sustainability, facilitating new environmental solutions to further improve the way we live.

ABOUT

THE PROJECT

PLANNING & PROJECT

DEVELOPMENT MASTER PLAN

The master plan for Lakeview Village has undergone changes since it was initially submitted in October 2018. For a number of years, LCPL has collaborated with the City of Mississauga, local interest organizations, and the general public to develop a plan that will benefit both current and future residents in terms of the environment, economy, and society. On November 8, 2021, the Master Plan was approved by the City’s Planning & Development Committee. It was then adopted on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, in the City of Mississauga’s Council Chambers. With our first phase of sales with Tridel in the fall of 2016, LCPL is moving forward with the building of a community that will turn what was once a power plant into an amazing mixed-use, sustainable coastal village.
